That is the opinion of former Highbury defender Nigel Winterburn. Arsenal are being strongly linked with a move for either Atletico Madrid’s Partey or Houssem Aouar from Lyon.
The Gunners have a long-standing interest in Partey, who plays as more a defensive-midfielder. Meanwhile, Aouar is younger, and plays more in a box-to-box role, using his creativity to spark attacks.
Ex-Gunner Winterburn thinks they’d both be excellent signings, but admits there is a winner in who Arteta should put at the top of his list.
