Mike Tyson is set to go head-to-head with Shannon Briggs in his heavyweight return. The 53-year-old has been teasing fans with clips of his intense workout regime having announced earlier in the year that he plans to step back into the ring with the hope of raising money for charity.
His former rival Evander Holyfield has also been preparing for a return to action which prompted rumours of a third match-up between the pair following their 1996 and 1997 bouts.
Briggs has now dispelled those links by claiming to have reached a deal with Tyson over a fight of their own over the last few days.
Briggs, 48, last fought in 2016 but had not retired from the sport, his most notable bout coming in 2010 against Vitali Klitschko.
