Michael van Gerwen has been enjoying the sunshine before he plans to further turn up the heat and the World Matchplay in Blackpool this month.In June, 'The Green Machine' dramatically claimed a sixth Premier League title, beating Joe Cullen in a thrilling finale.
It was a welcome triumph for the Dutchman following his frustrations at this season's PDC World Championships, where he was forced to withdraw with Covid-19.But shortly after the win in Berlin, van Gerwen went under the knife.

But barely a fortnight later, van Gerwen was back for the Amsterdam Masters.The tournament didn't go to plan for the fan favourite, beaten in the opening round by compatriot Noppert.
