Michael Beale sends message to Rangers fans as he makes solemn promise

Rangers new manager Michael Beale has pledged to give everything for the fans as he insisted they are "the most important part" of the club.

The 42-year-old was first team coach under Steven Gerrard but has left Queens Park Rangers after just six months to become Light Blues boss, signing a three-and-a-half year deal to secure a dream return to the Scottish Premiership.

He takes over from Gio van Bronckhorst with the club trailing Celtic by nine points in the table with the league on hiatus. Beale, who recently knocked back English Premier League outfit Wolves, will take charge of his first competitive game in the Scottish Premiership clash with Hibs for his first competitive game after the World Cup winter break on December 15.

And he has thrown down the gauntlet to the Rangers players to entertain the supporters when the league resumes. Giving a message to the fans via Rangers TV, Beale said: "You are the most important part of this football club.
