Veteran Mexican TV executive and showrunner Rosy Ocampo has signed with APA in all areas. Ocampo will work with APA to launch a U.S.-based production company focused on bringing authentic Latinx voices and stories to both the U.S.
and global television markets. Ocampo is also a former head of studio for Televisa, where she oversaw development and production of content for free and pay TV channels at Televisa and its sister network, Univision.
Ocampo’s production of La Fea Mas Bella (The Prettiest Ugly Girl), the Mexican version of the Colombian telenovela and global franchise that ABC adapted as Ugly Betty, holds the record as the most viewed TV series in Mexico.
