Metaverse murders could be punished like real crimes under tough new rule proposals

metaverse to be punished physically in the real world.The UAE's AI minister Omar Sultan Al Olama said that 'serious crimes' committed in the metaverse should have real-world consequences.

CNBC reports that Al Olama told the World Economic Forum that the metaverse might be so realistic that virtual crimes in it could have damaging real-world consequences.The metaverse is a virtual reality world where people can interact with one another as avatars.

It is important to note that it doesn't fully exist yet and isn't actually real. However, this didn't stop the minister calling for global rules on policing the metaverse.
