Wintry weather is set to hit Greater Manchester this week with freezing temperatures, strong winds and the chance of snow. Temperatures are set to plunge into the chilly single-digits and gales forecast to sweep across the north west until Wednesday, according to the Met Office.
Forecasters predict temperatures could fall to 1C in Oldham on Tuesday morning - but with wind chill that will feel more like -3C.
There's also a chance of snow on higher ground and wind speeds will reach 44mph in some areas.
