Mercury has proven herself an exciting new voice in Atlanta’s rap scene with her charismatic lyrical presence and an excellent ear for beats.
She’s enlisted a who’s who of hot producers across her projects released in the past few years, including Evilgiane, Popstar Benny, 454, and Bear1boss.
And she thrives on both original and sample-driven instrumentals. Her upcoming project is an EP called heaven dropping July 9, and today (June 1) you can hear its title track.
Produced by LAILA, the song is built on walloping Jersey club drums and a sludgy sample of what could be the refrain of a grunge song, played on a turntable at the wrong RPM.
