Seventeen young people in Salford are setting off on exciting new career paths thanks to a scheme aimed at helping 16 to 24-year-olds out of unemployment.
Progressive landlord ForHousing has provided placements in roles across the company, ranging from HR to waste management, through the government's Kickstart programme.
Aaronn Coogan, aged 25 from Salford, is one of the placement recruits who recently began developing his experience through the housing provider, and believes the role is already helping him to grow in confidence and access new opportunities.
Aaronn had been struggling to find work before securing the placement within ForHousing's income maximisation team, and says it has since provided him with a "sense of purpose".
