Max Verstappen has spoken out in support of Sky Sports F1 presenter Naomi Schiff after she was abused online. Schiff, who has joined Sky's broadcast team this year, was last week the victim of a social media troll who questioned her credentials and why she'd been given the role.
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton leapt to her defence on Twitter.And reigning champ Verstappen has now addressed the issue too ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend.
He said: "Most of the time, the people who are hating on you are frustrated people in life, or work, or whatever. "They're at home, on their keyboards.
They don't have the person in front of them and they can say what they want. I think that's not correct but most of the time if these people meet you in real life they wouldn't even care to say these kind of things."Of course it's bad.
