The ex-Swinton Lions star was injured during last Saturday's win over Hull KR and missed tonight’s Challenge Cup victory over Catalans Dragons, with Greg Inglis deputising at full-back.

After the game, which saw the Wolves win 16-6 with two first-half tries from Daryl Clark, boss Steve Price revealed the seriousness of the damage to the 22-year-old’s ankle ligaments. “It’s unfortunate for Matt as it looks like he’s going to be out for three month,” said the Australian head coach, who has now guided Warrington to the Challenge
