Kate Winslet takes on a new role in her upcoming HBO limited series, "Mare of Easttown." The 45-year-old actress plays a police detective in a small Pennsylvania town but is sure in real life she'd be absolutely terrible at solving crimes. "I’d be a (expletive) lousy detective.
I’d be very good at the coffee and the beers, definitely," Winslet told The Associated Press on Wednesday. "I don’t think I have the mental stamina that is required.
I have stamina, but in a different way." Winslet plays Mare Sheehan, who is investigating a murder in her small, close-knit rural town while struggling to keep her family life intact.The limited series’ cast includes Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Evan Peters, and Guy Pearce.
