Mejbri, 18, previously represented France at youth level but has now chosen to switch his allegiance to Tunisia and is in contention to make his debut against the Democratic Republic of Congo, Algeria or Mali this month.
The Tunisian FA unveiled Mejbri at an extravagant ceremony in recent days, with the nation seemingly viewing the addition of the United starlet as a major coup.
