Manchester United's Edinson Cavani has confirmed that he is undergoing treatment for a tendon injury. Cavani, 34, has been plagued with injury problems since his move to United on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain last year.
The centre-forward started against Tottenham in the Reds' 3-0 win in October, looking excellent alongside Cristiano Ronaldo but, despite him making a substitute appearance against Atalanta in the Champions League, he was ruled out of the Manchester derby.
Uruguay left Cavani out of their squad before Saturday's game versus Manchester City and his injury has now been confirmed. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is back under pressure as Manchester United manager.
