Van de Beek has struggled for game time since moving to United from Ajax last summer, prompting plenty of speculation over his future.
The midfielder has started just twice in the Premier League, making 14 further league appearances off the bench and featuring 16 times in cup competitions.
It has seen the 24-year-old struggle to make much of an impression during his limited playing time, having only played more than 20 minutes in a league match once since December.
