It’s looking increasingly like that Edinson Cavani is heading towards an imminent Manchester United exit. There’s been new speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona this week, on top of the long standing rumours that he’s eager to return to South America.
The Uruguayan could have departed from Old Trafford in the summer just gone, however he was persuaded to sign a one-year extension after talks with then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He’s made just five league appearances this season though, and turning 35 in February means he’s almost certainly not going to stay beyond the summer.
