Care packages will be handed out to hospital workers in Manchester after an NHS trust was inundated with donations from the public and businesses.

Hospital bosses issued an appeal for essential items for hard-working staff members who are tackling the coronavirus outbreak across the city.

The appeal was made on behalf of the MRI, Wythenshawe Hospital, the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Trafford General.
