Suicide bomber Salman Abedi asked a friend in Manchester to buy sheep for him while he was in Libya before he returned to carry out the Manchester Arena attack, the public inquiry into the atrocity heard.
The mass murderer's bizarre request was revealed as his once friend Ahmed Taghdi gave evidence at the hearing. Mr Taghdi said he had no knowledge of Abedi's plans for the deadly attack, despite them speaking and messaging over the phone from Libya.
Giving evidence, he said he was 'appalled and shocked' to realise his friend was behind the atrocity - and what it entailed.
