Man woke woman up at 2am and shouted 'I love you' before exposing himself

A man who claimed he had been drinking heavily and didn’t remember exposing himself outside a woman’s house has been handed a 22-week suspended sentence.

Jamie Haslam, 26, has avoided jail after the offence, which saw him pulling his trousers down and touching himself in front of the woman while he told her he loved her, Manchester Evening News reports.

His solicitor told Manchester Magistrates Court that Hallam was not attracted to the victim, and didn’t know why he had committed the offence.

The court heard how appeared at the back of the woman's home in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester at around 2.30am on Thursday. He began banging on the door and asking to come in.
