sliced off with a machete outside a club "thought it was his mates having a joke". On Tuesday (August 9), two balaclava-clad males attacked the man in the smoking shelter outside Deighton Working Men's Club in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, at around 5.30pm.
Witnesses ran to his aid when they heard a "squeal" and saw the hand lying on the ground. The man was rushed to hospital with a "serious arm injury" and medics' later attempted to reattach the hand, reports YorkshireLive.
Today (August 11), West Yorkshire Police announced that a 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the attack.
Billy Comer, from Deighton WMC, has since spoken about the horrific incident and explained that the victim thought it was a "prank".
