The Indian man, who has not been named, was travelling on a GoAir flight from Dubai into Kerala’s busy Kannur airport. Airport staff spotted him walking through the airport awkwardly and was stopped and checked by officials from the Air Intelligence Unit.
He was taken to an assessment area of the travel hub and was searched by staff who discovered a large amount of gold in his bottom.Staff weighed the gold and found almost a kilogram of the metal, equivalent to 1470gm in compound form.
