Manchester United exile last season.Lingard appears to have worked his way back into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's thinking at Old Trafford following a successful loan spell with West Ham in the second half of the 2020/21 campaign.The England ace was sent out on loan after falling out of favour under Solskjaer, which proved to be a pivotal move in his stuttering career.In 16 appearances for the Hammers he registered nine goals and five assists, helping David Moyes' side secure Europa League qualification.As a result, Lingard is set to be given a chance by Solskjaer to revive his United fortunes in the coming season.But he admits there were dark days when the United boss gave him the cold shoulder last season, which led him to excessive drinking.
