Manchester United look to have reacted to the dismal performance in their opening Premier League fixture by pushing to improve their midfield with the signing of Adrien Rabiot.
The 27-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Juventus and has emerged as a target for United transfer chiefs in a bid to boost the quality in Eric ten Hag's squad.
Rabiot, who came through the ranks with PSG before moving to Italy in 2019, could join new signings Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez at the club with a move for Frenkie de Jong looking unlikely. However, personal terms would also need to be agreed with Rabiot should Juventus accept an approach - and he is said to be among a number of options.United were said to have reached an agreement with Barcelona for De Jong worth £71.5million back in July - but the player's personal preferences stalled further talks.
