Manchester United chief Richard Arnold is reportedly eyeing Ajax’s Erik ten Hag as the next permanent manager. United have been linked with a wide range of different managers since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking in November, with former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino being one of the most prominent candidates.
Ralf Rangnick, who is currently in charge as interim manager before taking a consultancy role at the end of the season, has championed ten Hag as his successor.
And The Sun claim he has been able to convince new chief Arnold, despite the players themselves reportedly preferring Paris Saint-Germain manager Pochettino.
