Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan believes Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is a ‘small man in a suit that’s too big for him’.The Dutchman saw his beleaguered United side record a stunning 2-1 home victory over Liverpool.

As well as being a huge shock in a footballing game-week of surprises, the goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford secured a first Premier League victory for the former Ajax manager.Despite the humiliation against Brentford and their outclassing at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion, Ten Hag’s side have actually jumped ahead of Liverpool in the table.

However, Jordan has not been convinced by the shock victory against the Champions League finalists, claiming the United manager still looks to be out of his depth.READ MORE: Gary Neville celebrates like every Man Utd fan in commentary box against Liverpool“I think he looked like a small man in a big suit,” Jordan said to talkSPORT. “I’m amazed he wanted to come out and speak so quickly to the media, it was almost the commercial break and Tan Hag was standing there to tell us about what Man Utd have done.“The point is, your argument or sentiment is that you feel sorry for him against Brentford.

He picked that team, he coached that team to play in a way that they purely and simply are not capable of, he made decisions to play centre halves that were two foot tall, against six foot four centre forwards - he made those decisions.”A delighted Ten Hag amused many fans and pundits a like with his “we played f***ing good football” statement in his post-match interview.
