The man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be checked over and the group of youths dispersed before police arrived.
The authorities are appealing for any information regarding the incident. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 7.05pm on Friday, 22 January, police were called to a disturbance involving a man and a group of youths in Balgrayhill Road, Glasgow."Emergency services attended and the man was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be checked over.
