Man taken to hospital after 'running on live lanes' on the M62

All traffic was stopped on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway between junction 21 for Milnrow and junction 22 for Denshaw at about 10am.

A male was seen running across live lanes on the carriageway, North West Motorway Police said in a tweet. A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service has now confirmed that he was taken to hospital from the scene.
