Emergency services were called to the smash involving two Yamaha bikes on St Peter's Way, close to the Kearsley Roundabout, at about 2.45pm on Monday (April 12).

One of the bikes collided with the concrete central barrier and the rider - a 34-year-old man - suffered serious injuries including a broken leg.

He was taken to hospital where police say he remains in a serious, but stable condition. The rider of the second bike remained at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
