Edinburgh this afternoon. Emergency services raced to George Street around 3pm after a pedestrian was hit by a bus.The crash happened as police and bomb disposal units dealt with a separate incident nearby.Emergency services cordoned off the scene near St Andrews Square.
A man has been taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment but the extent of his injuries is not yet known. The crash unfolded as emergency services dealt with a suspicious package being found at the Scottish National Gallery and closed streets nearby.
