The terrifying attack happened as the young mum was walking with her child in a pram on Church Road in Newbold at around 4pm on Tuesday (15 June).
A man, described as white with an olive skin tone, in his early 30s, 'threw' the woman to the floor before ripping jewellery from her neck, police said.
The pram, with the woman's child inside, was also pushed into the road where it tipped over, during the shocking ordeal. Fortunately, the child received only minor injuries.
