raced to High Street, Inverkeithing, around 4.35pm yesterday after a man was found seriously injured following a disturbance within a restaurant.
He was rushed to Victoria Hospital for treatment but sadly could not be saved and later died. A major emergency response was sparked following the incident as numerous emergency vehicles lined the street.
It is understood the street was busy with terrified members of the public as the aftermath of the attack unfolded. Officers have arrested a man in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.35pm on Friday, 17 September, 2021, officers were called to a report of a 44-year-old man having been seriously injured following a disturbance.
