Gundogan, who was raised in Germany with Turkish parents, has made a conscious effort over the past year to support communities close to his heart.
The 30-year-old sorted care packages for health workers and the elderly near his family home in Gelsenkirchen at the height of the first wave of the pandemic, and has been busy auctioning off items including match-worn shirts to help the hospitality scene in Manchester.
