That is according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato who claim Pep Guardiola's 'technical staff' have identified Ronaldo as a suitable candidate to succeed Sergio Aguero at the Etihad, albeit it would be a short term fix because he's firmly in the autumn of his career.
Juventus have been linked to Gabriel Jesus in recent weeks and the report touts the possibility of the Brazilian being used in such a deal.
But Ronaldo signing for City would be sensational considering he spent six years at Manchester United until his departure in 2009.
