De Bruyne sustained an acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture when colliding with Antonio Rudiger in the final versus Chelsea, which forced him off the pitch in the second half of that game when being deemed unable to continue.
Although De Bruyne missed Belgium's opening game of the European Championship through that injury, he's since made his return for his nation in style, winning the Man of the Match award against Denmark after creating a goal and scoring his nation's match-winner.
