The goalkeeper, who joined City from Shamrock Rovers at the age of 16, started for the Republic of Ireland in their Fifa World Cup qualifier in Portugal on Wednesday night.
In just fifth international appearance, Bazunu had a shaky start when he underhit a pass to Newcastle United's Jeff Hendrick, which caused the midfielder to foul Bruno Fernandes in the box in the ninth minute.
