That's according to Under-18s manager Carlos Vicens, who was fortunate enough to have the striker in his team for the first time this season in Friday's FA Youth Cup tie against Birmingham City.
Delap has been a regular for the Elite Development Squad (Under-23s) and has also been involved several times with the first team this season but he dropped down to U18 level as the young Blues began their defence of the trophy they won in November.
It took the 18-year-old just three minutes to notch the first goal of a resounding 6-1 victory against Birmingham, with a composed finish into the bottom corner.
