Phillips has long been seen as his top target in the position, having impressed for the Whites and for England.A major hamstring injury restricted him to just 18 starts in the Premier League last season, only his second campaign of top-flight football.
But he still starred as Leeds secured their survival on the final day of the season under Jesse Marsch.Following those performances, the England international is now set to wave goodbye to Elland Road and join title challengers City.
According to The Athletic, Guardiola's side have reached an agreement with Leeds for a fee for Phillips.City are set to pay £42million for the 26-year-old, with another £3m coming in potential bonuses.
