A man has been charged after an elderly woman was seriously injured when a BMW smashed into her bungalow in Bolton. Officers were called to Bolton Road, in Westhoughton, just after 5.15am on Sunday (November 28) to reports a car had been in collision with a house.

Pictures from the scene showed a black BMW fully embedded inside the bungalow, close to a mini-roundabout at Chew Moor Lane's junction with Bolton Road.
