Officers raided the address in Carrfield Avenue at about 7.30m today. A 'viable' shotgun was seized for use in evidence. Greater Manchester Police said a 48-year-old man and 54-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and were being interviewed.
The action is part of GMP Salford's long-running wider operation into organised crime in the city - codenamed Arctic. Members of the public with concerns or information are asked to continue reporting to the police in confidence.
