A man has been rushed to hospital after being gunned down with a shotgun in the street with police shutting down a blood splattered road.
South Yorkshire Police were called to Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, at around 8.30pm on Monday, September 7, to reports of shots being fired.
A 24-year-old with serious injuries "consistent with shotgun discharge" was taken to hospital for treatment while an investigation has been launched, a police statement said.
A row of shops near to the junction with Wolseley Road and a section of blood splattered pavement at the junction with Farrar Road has been cordoned off on the busy city road following the incident, reports YorkshireLive.
