The children of tragic M9 crash victim Lamara Bell are to receive £1million in compensation from Police Scotland over their mum’s death.Kieran, 10, and his sister are to get about £500,000 each for their loss as a result of the force’s failings.
The cash settlement is set to be paid out to the children “within weeks”, a police source has told the Record. But a family member last night insisted that the payouts can never make up for the death of Lamara, who passed away in July 2015.
The children were aged just five and 10 at the time of their 25-year-old mum’s death. Kieran’s grandad, James McMillan, said: “No amount of money could compensate the children and the family for their loss.“Kieran has suffered intensely losing his mum.
