M3GAN takes on another killer AI robot in action-packed new ‘MEGAN 2.0’ trailer

M3GAN 2.0 has been revealed – check it out below.Universal Pictures and Blumhouse have released a new trailer for M3GAN 2.0 ahead of its June premiere.

The trailer begins with a quick recap of the original 2023 film, including M3GAN’s iconic dance scene.Then, it reintroduces us to M3GAN’s creator Gemma, who is told that a new AI robot is going on a rampage after the schematics for her design – which she thought she had destroyed – had been stolen to create a new military-grade robot named Amelia.Amelia ends up going rogue, forcing Gemma to rebuild M3GAN in an attempt to stop the rampaging robot.

M3GAN is also seen getting up upgrade, now becoming stronger, faster and taller. The trailer ends with Amelia and M3GAN going head to head in battle, soundtracked by Britney Spears‘ ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’.M3GAN 2.0 sees the return of cast members Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps.

New cast members include Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp and Jemaine Clement. Director Gerard Johnstone, who helmed the first film, is also returning for 2.0.M3GAN was one of the breakout hits of 2023, telling the story of an AI doll who becomes a companion and protector of a young girl named Cady.
