Irish pop band M(h)aol have unveiled the video for their latest single No One Ever Talks To Us, and it's the perfect start to your spooky season.
Inspired by the 2009 parodic slasher film Jennifer's Body was directed by band member Zoe Greenway, also taking inspiration from other media that potrays women in horror; Barbara Creed’s The Monstrous Feminine and Julia Kristeva’s Powers of Horror.
Speaking on the new blood-soaked visual, singer Róisín Nic Ghearailt said: "No One Ever Talks To Us is an amalgamation of our own personal experiences of being in a predominantly female band in a predominantly male genre, but also a synthesis of the autobiographical experiences of Carrie Brownstein, Kim Gordon, Kathleen Hanna."
