“Growing up was pretty rough. I'm only 4'11, so very short, and being a minority as well, there were a lot of biases that I had for myself, stereotyping that people [put on me],” Ly tells New Idea. “It kind of gets to you, I think those insecurities come in relationships...
over time I'm learning how to deal with it, but I'm more confident than I ever was.” Despite struggling with confidence in the past, Ly knows she has plenty to offer a potential partner.
She just has to find him. In the past she's mostly dated Asian men but she's open to finding love with anyone – Ly just wants someone who can be her “best friend and make [her] horny”.
