Love Island's Olivia Attwood opens up on devastating health woes which changed life

Love Island star Olivia Attwood has shared her "sad" relationship with exercise and how it has affected her adult life.The 31-year-old blonde bombshell, who will be taking part in ITV's The Games next week, has spoken openly about her trauma regarding running and sports overall.Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at a recent round table event, she expressed: "My history with running is a bit sad."Basically, in a nutshell, I used to run national county level and it's weird some of the running coaches [here] know some of my old running coaches and everything."I got into this high standard and I was just one of those unfortunate cases of young athletes that got overtrained."Referring to a photo that was shared of herself online during her younger days while training, Olivia described herself as "emaciated". "And I was overtrained to the point where you can literally see in that photo that came out of me, I'm emaciated.

I ended up with a swollen heart valve because of training."We would run like six days a week because I was running long distance so I had chest pains and went to the doctor and he said the chest pain was a large valve from overtraining and I never step foot back onto the track again."Olivia also explained that she needed to wait six months to recover and change her lifestyle in order to get back into her sport however she was heartbroken by the prospect.Despite her previous ordeal, Olivia is willing to give the challenge from The Games a go.She told ITV: "When I was younger, I loved sport and I was so sporty, but over the years I’ve become so distanced from it. "So when this show came up I thought, ‘When would I ever get the chance to do sport on this level with these amazing facilities and all these amazing.
