Love Island star Amy Hart has revealed a series of shocking admissions as she opens up on her ‘extreme’ weight loss diet before entering the famous villa.

Appearing on the latest episode of Channels 4’s Embarrassing Bodies, Amy revealed the agonising methods she took to lose weight before appearing on the ITV2 series in 2019, including calling in sick so she could spend more time at the gym.“It was pretty extreme actually.

There shouldn’t be one body type that is beautiful.“I think people need to realize that your dream body should just be your own body.”Although she is now a healthy weight, the former British Airways cabin crew member dropped down to 9st ahead of her arrival in the Majorcan villa.Determined to help others love their body, Amy launched an Embarrassing Bodies reality TV campaign to help people embrace the skin they’re in, saying people are “sick of seeing the same unachievable body types on social media.”Amy, who had a tumultuous relationship with love interest Curtis during her time in the villa, selected six body types to take part in a photoshoot which she posted on Instagram to get her followers to celebrate ‘real body confidence’.“I think we can all agree that we’re sick and tired of seeing the same, unachievable body standards online and on TV and magazines,” she said.“So we are going to break the algorithm together and show.
