Love Island has been hit with fresh Ofcom reports as fans rushed to share their fury over the ITV2 show. 69 complaints were submitted to the broadcast regulator due to scenes aired on June 28 - the same day which saw the islanders take part in a heart rate challenge. The complaints issued followed mixed feelings from fans who were frustrated at both Jacques O'Neill and his reaction to Paige Thorne after the challenge, and the challenge itself.
It comes after Jacques' heart rate was raised the most by Gemma Owen, something which upset Paige - and she spoke to Jacques about it.
Paige confronted Jacques about the results of the heart rate challenge prompting him to say that he thinks his heart rate raised the most for Gemma due to their history.
Speaking in the Beach Hut Paige said: "The guys I'm meant to be seeing still fancies his ex. He could've fancied any other girl, I'm done." When Jacques explained himself he said that Paige's reaction was "pathetic" and said: "Maybe because we've experienced something like that before and it was like a flashback." Paige began questioning Jacques, but he apologised to her the next day.
