Love Island fans were left fuming to find out there was no preview trailer at the end of this year's first episode. The hit ITV dating show returned with its eighth series on Monday night (June 6) - which meant a fresh batch of singletons landed in the villa in the hopes of finding love.
ITV viewers normally get a preview trailer at the end of every episode giving fans a taste of the explosive moments to come in the next edition, which normally airs the following night.Scottish Love Island narrator Iain Stirling can usually be heard announcing the end-of-episode trailer with his famously ominous phrase "tomorrow night..."We then get an edited montage of bombshell scenes showing the likes of islanders rowing with eachother or smitten pairs sharing a cheeky smooch in secret. However, fans were disappointed to see the show had ditched the fan-favourite clip for the first episode of the series - at least for the evening.Fans were gutted and flocked to Twitter to complain about the format switch up.One wrote: "The “tomorrow night” preview of Love Island is always the best part of the show, just give us that now".A second said: "No “tomorrow night” that’s muggy".The first episode of this season saw Irish host Laura Whitmore walked into the villa for the first coupling of the series - but the cast were in for a shock format twist.Instead of the ladies stepping forward for the boys they fancy the most, it was the public who decided on the couples.Amber and Dami were announced as the first couple, Gemma and Liam as the second, Indiyah and Ikenna as the third, Tasha and Andrew and Paige and Luca as the final pairing. This is a live TV story and is being constantly updated.
