Louise Minchin has cheekily returned to BBC Breakfast as she “replaces” Dan Walker on the red sofa alongside co-host Sally Nugent.The 53-year-old broadcaster returned to the beloved morning show on Wednesday (April 27) and it’s clear to see the star was eager to re-join the team as she joked that she was taking the Strictly star’s job just weeks before he is set to join Channel 5.Mum-of-two Louise joined the duo on the BBC morning show to discuss her concerns about the HRT shortages which have drastically affecting millions of women up and down the country.But when the show wrapped, the blonde bombshell couldn’t help but poke fun at Dan’s decision to leave the show as she posed up a storm alongside the brunette beauty and took over the show.After the show, the dad-of-three took to his Instagram account to share the hilarious clip with his 274,000 followers on social media.In the clip, the former long-standing host said: “Just for old times sake, Sal, go on” as the broadcaster pretended to read out the latest news headlines.It was at this point that Dad popped up from behind the couch feigning surprise, complaining: “I it’s still my job, what are you doing?” as Louise joked: “Not for long Dan!”Following along with the gag Sally pushed Dan’s face back down behind the sofa as he muttered: “It’s very nice to have you back Louise” while the pair were left in stitches at their impromptu gag.He also included in the post a slew of snaps of the trio sat together as they beamed besides each other at the surprising reunion more than six months since the blonde belle left the show.The TV presenter captioned the sweet post: “What a treat to have @louiseminchin back on the @bbcbreakfast sofa.
