Louis Walsh has admitted he "didn't want" Girls Aloud in his roster. The music mogul, 69, was given the girl group to coach when he was on the 2002 talent series, which saw the girls going up against a boy band. But he has now confessed that he wasn't that keen to be in charge of the group because "girls don't like each other in bands".Speaking on the White Wine Question Time podcast, Louis said that in his opinion girls in groups all want to be the main one. And, seemingly throwing a bit of shade at Cheryl, who was previously married to footy ace Ashley Cole, he said they "all want to go out with the footballer"."I thought I was going to get a boy band - I was convinced," he told host Kate Thornton."And they gave me the girls.

I didn't want them. Girls don't like each other in bands - it's very very simple."They all want to be the lead girl," added Louis, who is known for managing boy bands like Westlife and Boyzone."They all want to go out with the footballer.

They all want to be the skinniest."Luckily for Louis, Girls Aloud - comprised of Cheryl, the late Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts - made a huge splash.Their debut single Sound Of The Underground shot straight to the top of the charts and they went on to have a stellar career, with a string of massive hits like Jump and No Good Advice.Meanwhile, the boys group - One True Voice - struggled to hit the big time. They released a couple of songs before splitting in 2003.And, of course, Cheryl went on to have major success on her own as a solo artist. Her first two albums hit the No1 spot in the UK, while her third and fourth also landed in the Top 10.She has also had five No1 singles. For more of the latest showbiz news from Daily Star, make.
